After several shady dealings from associates of his supposedly trustworthy lenders, Zartesh’s blaster business is revealed to be involved in criminal operations. Unable to keep his reputable customers and unwilling to seek dirty work, Zartesh became deep in debt to his lenders. His son Zukesh decides he must take matters in his own hands to free his family from debt. With a hot tip on an incredibly lucrative deal, he leaves Gand in search of a crew that can help.
Following the successful heist, the crew of the Rampant Star abandon Jad Slarka on Cloud City, without payment. Authorities (and the casino management) are still investigating the theft. Jad Slarka lays low while looking for a way off-world and the potential to get back at the Rampant Star.
